Well, Cassia is now 3 weeks old. She is getting cuter and cuter every day. She is eating well, but having some problems at night with some tummy gas (we think). It's cute to hear all the rumblings from her back end, especially when they don't stink. We have tried a lot of different things to help her relax and go to sleep, but nothing seems to work too well other than just waiting until she falls asleep. I hope she can get over this phase soon and back to the 'fall asleep by 10pm' routine (I'm an optimist).
Lindsey is doing great as a mother. She has nearly completetly recovered physically from the delivery and is now just searching for a routine to help her maximize her "free time." I hope she can make more time to get back into cooking (like I need anymore good cooking). Lindsey will be upset that I've said this, but she was back to within 3 pounds off her pre-pregnancy weight after 10 days. I will say that both of us are very grateful for one another because it makes it so much easier to care for our baby when we can take breaks and hand her off to each other. It's also great for both of us to have seen so many different examples of how things can be done from friends and family. It's kind of fun to find our own way of dealing with things.
We took Cassia to church for the first time today. She was an angel!! She slept right through half of Sacrament meeting and all of sunday school (like most of us). Lindsey took her from me at that point, but told me she was great the rest of the time. Most people say she looks more like me than Lindsey, but that she has her mouth and chin. I say that she's just cute.... no other comment needed.
